MINSK, 5 July (BelTA) – In H1 2010 the enterprises affiliated with the Energy Ministry of Belarus increased capital investments by 8% compared to the same period a year before, Energy Minister of Belarus Alexander Ozerets told reporters on 5 July.
“In H1 the capital investments edged up by 8%. About Br3.2 trillion is expected to be raised, with over Br1 trillion in H1”, the minister informed.
According to Alexander Ozerets, the projects in small-scale power generation have recently stirred up interest among investors. At the same time, foreign companies are primarily interested in large-scale projects like construction of stations with over 20 MW capacity, as they will pay back faster.
The relevant negations are underway with China, Austria, Germany and other countries, the minister specified.
